When the exterior of this 22-story hotel and city landmark began to show its considerable age, Nawkaw was trusted with the restoration. The original exterior of poured-in-place concrete panels and exposed river rock aggregate was showing years of exposure to pollution from the busy city streets. Concrete panels were turning black in places, and missing some of the river rock texture in others.  The restoration of nearly 70,000 square feet of concrete surfaces included cleaning and preparation, application of stains to restore original coloration, and expert faux work using multiple colors and custom templates to simulate the river rock.
